Hi Baraunians,

This Sunday, 21st Sep 2009, a few Baraunians visited Pragati Maidan's Banquet Halls for on the spot assessment of Mega-Get-Together venue and budgetary estimates.

The components that we considered were:

1. Food and Snacks (Chaat & Fruit salaads etc).
2. Floral Decoration
3. DJ Charges
4. Cocktail & Mocktail & Liquor Licence
5. Souvenir for Members and Gifts for Kids
6. Miscellaneous expenses

Contribution:

A minimum contribution of Rs 1000 per head (for above age of 5 years) plus Rs 500 per Baraunian Member is required.

[For example, a Baraunian participating with spouse and two kids above 5 yrs age is required to contribute Rs 4,500].

We will approach the willing Members with our Begging Bowl for contribution.

Mode of Contribution:

After much debate we decided to focus initially on the Mega-Get-Together only, since process for registering society for this group and opening an operating bank account seemed time consuming and complex. As an alternative Rajiv Ranjan Dwivedi (Bhutta) (Batch-1984-A), who is a practicing CA in Varanasi, agreed to accept the contribution in his Savings Bank Account for us with a declaration form in the format as attached to save him from any Income Tax issues.

The Contribution Income and Expenses account will be maintained by Rajiv & myself and Hisaab-Kitaab of every single penny will be put up on the Baraunians WebSite.

The contribution can be deposited in the name of RAJIV RANJAN's Bank Account directly in his ICICI Bank Account 628301516877. But, please make sure to send the declaration mail to Rajiv's Email-ID rajeev_ashu@yahoo.co.in and CC to ds@techds.in so that he does not land into trouble at the hands of Income Tax Department (the format of the declaration is attached).
