Hi Baraunians,

By the time we went to book one of the Pragati Maidan Banquets with advances (as per the original plan), they were already booked.

But, do not worry. With the help of Umesh Sharma (1980) we have booked the Centaur Hotel (a five star hotel near Indira Gandhi International Airport) for the get together.

Centaur Hotel is located 1 km from IGI Airport, 22 kms from New Delhi Railway Station, 20 kms from Connaught Place. The approach roads too are not congested. The approach maps would be placed on the Website in a couple of days.


It would be really magnificent venue.

Features and facilities available to us:

• Massive banquet hall which can accommodate upto 500 people at a time, having two sections, one sort of reception and then the main hall. The main hall consists of a stage. Separate entry for the banquet hall besides the lobby of the hotel.
• Massive parking space, parking will be haste free, valet parking available.
• Two more restaurants, one Indian, one Chinese shall be available .
• Coffee shop available to us.
• Entire Lobby area with decent sitting arrangement available to us.
• Bar available to us.
• Swimming pool site available to us which consists of massive lawn besides the swimming pool.
• Massive lawn adjoining the main banquet hall is available which has a separate entry also.
• Space will not be a problem and it is decent venue far from the honking zone.
• We will be getting several facilities and concessions which we can enjoy as per our requirements.
• There is a playground cum lawn for kids with rides available to us.
• DJ and Gazal Singers will be available to us.
• The Gazal performers will be performing at the magnificent lobby.

More than our expectations. But, do not worry, we will have to pay less than what we would have to pay at Pragati Maidan (thanks to Umesh ji's connections).

We will make lodging arrangements for people who had desired for accommodation arrangements at Ginger Hotel (Taj Group). The lodging will be paid by us, but food etc would be paid by the member.
